The program focuses on key topics in cardiology and pulmonary medicine, with the goal of strengthening local clinical expertise and promoting high-quality continuing education.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">The first lecture took place on <strong>July 25, 2025<\/strong>, and covered a highly relevant but often overlooked topic: <strong>Diagnosis and Treatment of Post-Tuberculosis Disease<\/strong>.<br>The speaker was <strong>Dr. Juan Pablo Reig<\/strong>, from the <strong>University of Valencia<\/strong> (Spain), an expert in respiratory diseases and global health \u2014 and recently recognized as one of the <strong>top-rated health professionals in Spain<\/strong> during the 11th edition of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.infosalus.com\/asistencia\/noticia-doctoralia-premia-37-profesionales-salud-mejor-valorados-clinicas-mas-destacadas-espana-20241111183545.html\">Doctoralia Awards<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">His presentation addressed clinical and diagnostic approaches to managing the long-term complications of tuberculosis, with a focus on real-world cases relevant to the Tanzanian context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">For those interested, the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1aah27_G_nQkD8fqPMJfw00s--L8JMFFb\/view\">slides<\/a> and lecture <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1VL6qT5vD6n1cjPVTLshU7J_1gqCCnkZu\/view\">recording<\/a> are freely available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"font-size:16px\">This initiative is made possible thanks to the generous collaboration of <strong>European doctors and professors<\/strong>, who volunteer their time and expertise to support the professional development of the Ikonda medical team.
