Based on the southern highlands of Tanzania, the Consolata Hospital Ikonda is a private, non-profit, catholic institution under the Consolata Missionaries. Founded in 1963, the hospital was inaugurated by the first President of the United Republic of Tanzania M. Julius K. Nyerere on October 7th, 1968. From its very outset, the Consolata Hospital Ikonda has functioned as a charitable institution, providing good doctors and basic medical treatment to everyone in need. The mission of the hospital is to continue delivering high-quality health services for the local community and promoting access to healthcare among the needy, with a particular focus on children, women, and people with chronic diseases.
